Guest house
A few steps in front of the castle, the fully renovated guest house can accommodate up to 6 guests in complete privacy. Two bedrooms on the first floor, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds, can accommodate four people. A double sofa bed on the ground floor completes the sleeping possibilities. The guest house has its own fully equipped kitchen and a private bathroom on the first floor. Recently fitted out, it will allow you to invite your guests during your holiday stay or a long weekend. It is included in the rental of the chateau.

The castle is always rented in its entirety to a single group. You have accommodations for 36 people, park, yard and pool. The rental price includes accommodation for 36 people, as well as charges for water, electricity, garden maintenance, cleaning the chateau, and linens. Bed linen and towels are provided. The beds are made upon arrival.

History
Chateau Les Gaudras was built in 1850 by Joseph Antoine Fernand, direct ancestor of the current owners. He was count of Majorie of Soursac, born April 18, 1818, engineer and mayor of Roiffieux, descendant of Geraud de la Majorie, lord of Durfort-Soursac knighted in 1352.
This castle had been inhabited by the family of the current owners Véronique and Tanguy of Nantes until the death of their grandmother in 1984. It was bought by two successive families who loved and restored it with great taste. But Tanguy and Véronique of Nantes missed their family home. Lovers of old stones and history, they were looking for a home to accommodate their large family (4 children and many grandchildren).
In 2012, after 4 years of research, it is on the Internet that they found to their surprise “their” house that was for sale! It is with immense joy that they bought it. They have carried out extensive work to renovate the reception area, the orangery, and create some additional bedrooms and bathrooms in the attic.
