Located in Esvres-sur-Indre, in the heart of Indre-et-Loire, Château la Villaine is a place steeped in history. Built on the remains of a medieval castle dating back to the late 13th century, the estate still retains traces of its past, such as a period staircase visible in the cellars. In its current form, the château was constructed at the end of the 18th century, showcasing elegant and harmonious architecture typical of the time. This blend of medieval remnants and the refined style of the 18th century gives Château la Villaine a unique character, making it a true witness to the region’s history. Today, the Château la Villaine embodies the timeless elegance of Touraine, offering its visitors an experience that combines historical heritage with contemporary serenity.
The kitchen, the heart of the house, is equipped with a Lacanche cooking range. This professional-grade appliance is perfect for large families or convivial meals, allowing you to prepare delicious dishes while enjoying the magnificent setting. Outside, an outdoor lounge awaits on the terrace, where you can relax and take in the spectacular view of the Indre Valley. Large tables are available for al fresco dinners under the lime trees, where conviviality and the pleasures of summer blend harmoniously. A large fire pit completes this outdoor space, perfect for barbecue or plancha evenings in a warm atmosphere. Renovation works have also enhanced the château’s insulation, ensuring comfort and well-being. Furthermore, most of the doors have been replaced with double-glazed windows, combining modernity with energy efficiency to make your stay even more enjoyable.
